11-year-old Flynn Gunther is heading to Japan in December after being selected to compete for New Zealand at the World Age Group Trampoline competition.
This will be the third time the Halswell youth who trains out of Olympia Gymnastics in Wigram has represented New Zealand, having first worn the silver fern as a 9-year-old.
Gunther who’s the youngest of the New Zealand team claimed a Silver Medal in 2018, competing at the Australian Gymnastics Championships and a Bronze medal in June 2019.
Fellow Olympia Gym rep Regan Laidlaw also made the squad in the 17-21 year olds as well as coach Alex Nilov.
Sam Hall from the Christchurch school of Gymnastics will compete in the Double-Mini Trampoline.
